Ayal is a guitarist, composer and producer whose music has been featured in films, television shows such as Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules and ABC’s Modern Family, records and concerts by prestigious ensembles in both the U.S. and Israel. Since moving to Los Angeles, Ayal has performed in some of the city’s hottest venues, leading a funk-jazz trio and playing guitar and bass with other bands.
Born and raised in a small village in Israel’s southern coast, Ayal learned to play the guitar and got to perform with several local Israeli bands. After moving to Tel Aviv, he studied in Israel’s top music school, Rimon, where he delved deeper into the guitar and piano. He studied both classic and modern composition. After graduating, Ayal threw himself into Israel’s music scene. He co-founded and led The Spinning Wheels, a ten piece funk-rock band, and was the lead guitarist and co-arranger in other jazz and rock groups. During this time, he performed around Israel in some of the country’s renowned venues, festivals and theaters while also teaching advanced guitar and ensemble classes in popular Israeli music schools. He collaborated with the Ramat Gan Symphony Orchestra as assistant conductor and co-producer.
In 2009, Ayal was awarded a scholarship by the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Film Scoring and graduated Magna Cum Laude, studying under respected industry professionals. While at Berklee, Ayal composed prolifically and his original pieces have been honored in performances at many concerts, including the esteemed Kalisto Chamber Orchestra concert. Having a vast experience instructing guitar and music on many levels both in Israel and the U.S., Ayal loves to impart his musical knowledge and deliver the fun experience of playing guitar while adjusting to the rhythm and abilities of the student.
