While in Miami, Dylan played with the eponymous Dylan Buzz Gold Trio, The StepDads and the Miami-based reggae fusion group Love and Water. The StepDads completed an east coast tour in May 2018, starting in Miami with final shows in NYC.
Relocated to Los Angeles in 2019, Dylan was recruited to join locally-based recording artist Mandi Perkin’s Chelsea Effect. He also can be heard playing for other Los Angeles-based artists like Ben Hon and Zaya. As a multi-instrumentalist music producer, Dylan has also been behind the scene producing for a wide range of artists.
Dylan has seven years of teaching experience, ranging from kids to adults. He teaches percussion with the drum set and sound engineering, using Protools, Ableton, or Logic software.
Aside from teaching, he is working mainly as a session drummer for Pop/Funk/R&B and rap artists. His multicultural technique lives happily in that sweet spot between a driving groove and fluid improvisation with silky smooth time transitions, fusing varied time signatures with ease. Dylan’s primary kits are a DW Performance series and Ludwig Jazz series.
He now has open availability to teach in the Greater Los Angeles area. Inquire today to book your introductory lesson!
