Jacob is a drummer, specializing in Pop, Rock, R&B, and Country. Having earned his degree from the Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles, Jacob often incorporates Latin and Jazz roots into more contemporary styles. He has toured in the U.S. and Europe in support of groups, ranging from Ben Folds to Peter Frampton. Most recently, he has played for three different country bands, including The Rye Brothers. Jacob frequently works as a studio drummer for up-and-coming international artist at the Musician’s Institute. He also teaches private lessons to a number of local students, as well as international students whom he instructs via FaceTime. This educational endeavor, along with his live performances, has led to an endorsement with Aquarian drumheads. He is also the session drummer for Canyon Hut Studio, where he displays his skills in Punk, Country, Indie and Folk music. These projects have even led to sessions with Roecker/Melody at the 606 Studio, owned by the Foo Fighters! He has tracked for producer and songwriter Tim Hutton, who has worked with Sugar Ray, Tim Timebomb, Cyprus Hill and Odd Future and Jim Huff, producer of Joe Bonomassa and The Record Company. He will also be featured on The Rye Brothers upcoming debut record. Jacob currently resides in Valley Village, where he continues to freelance for on both national and international stages. He has open availability to teach in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Hollywood, and the greater Los Angeles area.
