Born and raised outside Washington D.C., Keira began her training in classical piano at age four. In grade school she began her study of cello, voice, and songwriting. In 2011 Keira won the International Smashtune Songwriting Contest with her original song, “When I’m With You.” The grand prize was a trip to Hawaii, where Keira was a finalist in the Kauai Music Festival’s Songwriting Contest. Later that year, her debut album “Wondergirl” was released, which includes pop/rock songs recorded in Washington D.C. and Nashville. Keira was subsequently voted “Favorite Part of First Night Alexandria,” awarded the Miss Nova Music Award for embodying “the spirit of music and community service,” and won the “18 in America” Songwriting Contest (Gannett/WUSA9). Seven-time Grammy nominee Graham Edwards said Keira is “an exciting musical talent. I look forward to seeing her career blossom both as a songwriter and an artist.”
Keira studied at the prestigious Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, which is consistently ranked as one of the top music schools in the world. After graduation, she was invited to teach at the award-winning Area Stage Company in Coral Gables, Florida.
Later, Keira moved to Los Angeles where she worked for songwriter/producer RedOne, who has a staggering eight Grammy nominations and two wins for his work with Lady Gaga.
Keira’s goal is to continually inspire her students to explore their musical potential. She is happy to share her knowledge of pop, classical, musical theater, jazz, and rock music with anyone who is passionate about learning.
