Sid has been teaching piano and violin for over 12 years to students of all ages and skill levels. He employs an open and patient teaching style, tailoring each curriculum to suit the student’s needs and goals. He emphasizes music reading, technique, and efficient practicing habits from the very beginning. He now has open availability to teach in Beverly Hills, Westwood, West Hollywood, Hollywood, and the Greater Los Angeles area.
A composer, pianist, and violinist originally from Chicago, Sid has performed his compositions along with more traditional repertoire in both North America and Europe. His notable performances include concerts at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Oslo Konserthus, the John Cage centennial at New England Conservatory, and the soundSCAPE festival in northern Italy. Sid is currently a student at the California Institute of the Arts. His teachers have included pianists Irene Faliks, Mikhail Yanovitsky, and Vicki Ray, composers Frank Abbinanti and Michael Pisaro, and violist Rami Solomonow.
