Born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, Keira began her training in classical piano at four years old. In elementary school, she began cello lessons, and in high school, she studied voice and songwriting. In 2011 Keira won the International Smashtune Songwriting Contest with her original song, “When I’m With You.” The grand prize was a trip to Hawaii, where Keira was a finalist in the Kauai Music Festival’s Songwriting Contest. Later that year, her debut album “Wondergirl” was released on iTunes, which includes pop/rock songs recorded in Washington D.C. and Nashville. Keira was subsequently voted “Favorite Part of First Night Alexandria,” awarded the Miss Nova Music Award for embodying “the spirit of music and community service,” and won the “18 in America” Songwriting Contest (Gannett/WUSA9). Seven-time Grammy nominee Graham Edwards said that Keira is “an exciting musical talent. I look forward to seeing her career blossom both as a songwriter and an artist.”
